Hey hey! Ok so this one feels like a weird one, and I also feel like there might be a lot of eye rolling. But as part of my “release of expectations”, I wanted to address it sooner rather than later.

In this episode today, I talk a little bit about what it’s like to be a black, female autistic cellist, coping with being ADHD, and dealing with racism in the music industry. As much as I don’t want to talk about topics like this, I also really need and want to talk about topics like this. I also talk about wanting to play music outside of orchestras, and not conforming to the “expected standards” (of perfection?) within the classical music industry.

(Oooooo future podcast idea – the imperfection of perfectionism in classical music?!)

Got thoughts? Let me know in the comments; both you and me know we haven’t heard the end of this. 😉

Thanks for listening!
